Winter
It often snows in winter. Everything outside turns white. The snow is frozen but melts to water if you hold it in your hand.

It is fun to build snow-caves and snowmen. You can go skiing and ride on sleds, but you must wear warm clothes to keep the cold away.

The lakes and the sea freeze over. When the ice is thick, you can skate on it, but it is dangerous to walk on thin ice.

Spring
After its winter sleep, nature wakes up in the spring.

The snow melts and the buds start to burst open.

It gets warmer and the days get longer. The brown grass turns green again.

The ice melts and the spring floods rush through rivers and streams.

The birds come back from other lands. They build nests and lay their eggs.

Summer

The summer is wonderful but short; at least it feels that way.

In summer, you can swim in the sea and play on the beach. You can also take a trip in a boat and go fishing.

Nature is green and beautiful, and there are insects buzzing and birds singing. It is warm and nice, and you can wear very few clothes on and go barefoot without freezing.

The days are long and the nights are warm and clear. School is out for the summer, so there is lots of time to play. Everything is great!
In the fall, the leaves turn yellow, orange and red until they finally fall from the trees.

Sometimes it rains and the air is crisp, cool, and nice to breathe. The days get colder and the evenings get darker.

Nature prepares itself for winter and the snow that may soon fall.

It is nice to stay indoors by a fire, playing cards and listening to the rain against the window.
