Using colourful animated screens with music and sounds, Picture Builder attracts and holds the attention of users and is suitable for teenage and older users as well as early years pupils and the profoundly disabled. Activities aim to develop access and switch skills, using 'cause and effect' work as well as making choices and encouraging language and communication work. Jigsaw maker - allows students to revel the digital image by selcting a jigsaw piece to piece the image together.
Pattern generator - travel accross the screen to create different color patterns by either quick movements or pausing in one place to create richer color schemes while accompanied by soothing background music.
Puzzle slider - will spark enthusiasm and interaction with the program as the student selects a highlighted portion of the screen to "slide" the disarrayed image back into logical sense. This can be done by higher order thinking and organizing or a few simple mouse clicks.
Reveal and knock out - allows students to "paint" a black screen to reveal a digital photo.
Image builder - using simple mouse clicks or switches paint by number or free paint to build your own images.
This CD-ROM allows you to import files from digital pictures and scanned images, as well as offering a vast bank of images for you to choose from. It is fully configurable for the individual user and with printable user records available. It is available in dual format and suitable for one, two or multi switches, working with space bar, mouse-click and touch-screen.
