and are available via distance learning, no relocation to Vermont required!

Photography
Internship - Gain experience in shooting photographs designed for
daily use in the classroom. Select shooting assignments of interest, touch-up,
crop and categorize images, then add captions. Images may be used in commercial
software products, catalogs, on Tool Factory and/or Olympus websites,
or as part of lesson plans and worksheets. Walk away with a 3.2 MegaPixel
Digital Camera and Published Photography Credit!
Technology
Integration Project - Students participating in this program become
published authors and gain firsthand experience in integrating software
programs into the curriculum. Students will select a software program
from Tool Factory's mainstream or special education CD-ROM product line.
After an in-depth review of the selected program, they will build worksheets
designed to help teachers integrate the software into the planned curriculum.
Utilizing the worksheets, students will design complete lesson plans,
or a teaching unit around the software program. If appropriate, student
may also develop tutorials, showing step-by-step instructions of the program's
controls. All worksheets, tutorials, and lesson plans will be uploaded
to Tool Factory's commercial websites. Students will receive author credits,
and those will be displayed online along with the educational materials
they've developed. Students are encouraged to refer to these credited
links when seeking future employment. Professors interested in the integration

Teacher Worksheet
Internship - Gain
experience in building worksheets and curriculum for daily use in the
classroom. Student will select subject area of interest, research innovative
teaching ideas through the required reading and research, then build worksheets
around specific standards in the curriculum. The final project (writing
component) includes developing a complete lesson plan, or unit, which
makes use of selected worksheets that were developed over the course of
the semester.
Teacher Worksheet

website. All projects will incorporate digital photographs taken by the
student. The final project (writing component) includes developing a complete
lesson plan, or unit, that makes use of selected worksheets, developed

Graphics
Internship - Students will gain experience in graphics production
as a profession. Clip Art Station is a national repository of photographic
images used for building classroom projects, http://www.clipartstation.com.
Currently it houses only photographs, however this internship will center
on expanding that offering to include drawn graphics. Interns will develop
libraries of 2D and 3D artwork including any/all of the following: slide
show backdrops, button sets, toolbars, textures, watermarks, characters,
wire frames, scenes, math artwork, and clip objects. Graphics may eventually
be published in commercial CD-ROM products, internet subscriptions services,
and will become a permanent part of the Clip Art Station library.
Sign Language
Photography Internship - The objective of this internship is to create
a visual dictionary of sign language. Student will shoot photographs and
videos of letters and words, then touch up, crop and categorize images.
Images will become part of the permanent library on Clip Art Station,
posted at http://www.clipartstation.com Captions will be added directly
online using a Clip Art Station editor's account. Images might also be
used in commercial software products, catalogs, on Tool Factory and/or
Olympus websites, or as part of lesson plans and worksheets. Walk away

Audio Internship - A
huge library of clip art is posted on Clip Art Station at http://www.clipartstation.com
Photos cover many major themes in the K-12 school curriculum. Tool Factory
would like to expand that library to include music and sounds. Students
will gain experience in recording sound effects and music clips designed
for daily use in classroom project. First, select audio assignments of
interest, record sound effects and music, then edit and categorize clips.
Sound files will be loaded into the Clip Art Station library, then student
will logon and add keywords, names and captions. Sound files created during
this internship will become a permanent part of the Clip Art Station online
library. They may also be published in commercially available CD-ROM products
such as Tool Factory Workshop.
