It's now time to talk about some of the most basic functions of Tool Factory Word Processor. This tutorial will send you on the road of word processing greatness by teaching you how to add text, reposition that text, and cut, copy and paste text.

How to Add Text
Step 1 - Adding text is very simple. First click on the page where you want to type.

Step 2 - Simply start typing!

How to Reposition Text
Step 1 - Double click or drag your mouse over the text while the left mouse button is held down. This will produce a red dotted box around your text.

Step 2 - Position your mouse in the middle of the red dotted box and your mouse pointer should change into a hand.

Step 3 - Hold down the left mouse button and drag your text wherever you like.

The ability to reposition text could be very useful to a teacher trying to create a word collage in order to help teach students new vocabulary.

Copy/Cut/Paste
Copy
Step 1 - Highlight the portion of text that you would like to copy by holding the left mouse click button down and dragging. You can also double click the text selection and a red box will form around the outside of the text.

Step 2 - Click the Copy button on the General Tool Bar.

Cut
Step 1 - Highlight the portion of text that you would like to copy by holding the left mouse click button down and dragging. Or you can double click the text selection and a red box will form around the outside of the text.

Step 2 - Click the Cut button on the General Tool Bar.

Paste
Step 1 - Choose where you would like the copied or cut information to go by clicking that spot on the page.

Step 2 - Click the Paste button on the General Tool Bar.

With this new knowledge you can now move text at your whim and create creative collages and worksheets.
