There are buttons for UNDO and REDO in the toolbar. Just click them to undo or redo the last action. There is an unlimited number of undos.
Use it to trouble-shoot student projects–When 30 students are working at the same time in a computer lab, it’s impossible to be everywhere at once. If a student appears to be struggling, click undo, undo, undo...and look for the action the student performed multiple times. That’s a good indication of where the student is having difficulty. Click redo, redo, redo…and put the project back together. Then help solve the issue.
Encourage experimentation – The unlimited number of undos becomes a great tool to encourage experimentation in writing. Tell students to save their projects under a new name at key points in their writing. Click undo, undo, undo… to return to a key plot point, and take the story in a whole new direction. Students will be able to experiment with writing ideas, story lines, and character actions. As long as the students frequently conduct saves using FILE > SAVE AS, they won’t lose any work.
For Special Education - The unlimited number of undos will come in handy, because it shows evidence of the thought process that went into building the project.
