    Overview
Using the Storybook Outline worksheets, students create a story with descriptive sensory details, developed characters, and a believable plot. Images are added from the bank and/or from the students' own image files, and/or from pictures created in Tool Factory Painter. The finished storybook has a cover page with the story's title and the author's name.
    Instructions
    1) Students open the Storybook Cover template, add their own color illustration, and type in their name.
If students do not have access to a digital camera or scanner, illustrations can be made in Tool Factory Painter and then added in Tool Factory Workshop, or an image can be added from the bank. The size of the illustration box can be altered, or the box can be deleted.
    2) Students open the Storybook First Page template, type in their text and add an image in the illustration box. Again, the size of the illustration box can be altered, or the box can be deleted. The lines can also be deleted.
    3) Students create as many pages as needed for their story using the format from the first page. Alternatively, students may create their own storybook layout, and even use digital photographs.
    4) Remind students to save their work.
    Follow-up Activities
Print the pages of the storybook document and make a bounded book with a cover, title page, and acknowledgments.
