Photo Contest / Photo Caption Writer

    Overview
    Students design and create an interactive photography page for their school's newspapers. For each photograph, students write an appropriate and appealing caption.
    Instructions
    1) Open MultiMedia Lab V. Select "General" and then "800x600 Full Page" template. Click "Create a new application."
    2) Open "Farm Animal Faces" to see an example of a photo contest/caption writer page. Click on the button to go to a linked page.
    3) Students can select their own background color, enter photos from their hard drive or floppy disk, resize photographs, and add text. Photographs will have been added from a digital camera or scanned in from traditional photographs.
    4) Encourage students to organize photographs around a particular theme. Captions should be creative, descriptive, and attention-grabbing.
    5) Students can add events (such as mouse overs and animations) to make their photography page interactive.
    6) Click "Run" to see a student's page.
    7) Remind students to save their work.
