Cool Backgrounds with a Few Mouse Clicks Grade: K-12 Subject(s): Art Required products: Fresco Overview Create stunning backdrops using nothing more than basic mouse skills. Use color blending and effects to create fantastic backgrounds for your slide shows or stories. Instructions SMEARED RAINBOW BACKDROP Open Fresco Click on the pink paint brush icon. Make your brush size as large as it will go. Select a color and scribble a pool of color on the page. Pick another color and make another pool. Gets pools of different colors all over your page. Now select the yellow light bulb icon. Pick the hand. Scribble all over the page. CLOUDY EFFECT Scribble left-to-right all over the page. VERTICAL EFFECT Scribble up and down all over the page. RIPPLED WATER Use the menus to do AREA>APPLY EFFECT>RIPPLE Do it twice for even bigger ripples. SWIRLY PAINT CAN Use the menus to do AREA>APPLY EFFECT>SWIRL WATER MARK A water mark is a ghosted image. Open any image, even a photograph. Use the menus to do AREA>APPLY EFFECT>LIGHTEN Repeat until desired lightness is acheived. Follow-up Activities Use your backdrops in a slide show.
