TOOL FACTORY, INC. LAUNCHES AN EXTENSIVE LINE OF
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS SOFTWARE

November 9, 2001. East Dorset, VT - Children and adults with special educational needs have for too long been shut out of the valuable learning opportunities that software can provide. But today, as Tool Factory launches nearly 50 new titles, the door of discovery has finally been opened for students of all ages and abilities across North America.

Tool Factory, a Vermont-based educational software company, is pleased to carry the SEMERC line. SEMERC is a leading authority on special educational needs software, and has produced many award-winning titles covering a wide range of content. The software is designed specifically to meet the needs of students with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities such as Specific Learning Difficulties, Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder, and Visual and Auditory impairments. Titles vary from the All About series, which provides full speech support to help non-readers explore a variety of topics, to Smart Alex, engaging software for autistic students, to sensory software like the Switch On series (Switch On Original, Switch On Travel, Switch On Zoo). Teachers will be pleased to find many options to customize each title to meet the needs of their student. Several products are also compatible with switches and touch screens. Every product was developed based on the classroom experience.

Tool Factory's growing line of special educational needs titles can be viewed here or from their homepage: www.toolfactory.com.
