Tool Factory Gives
Hands-on Seminars at CSUN - New Products Introduced
Tool Factory brought their highly popular seminar
series to the CSUN conference this year. Attendees choosing from
a wide range of seminars, received literature and software they
can use in their classrooms and with their clients. The literature

Presenters included Paul Nuttall, Director of SEMERC (UK), Claire
Kane, Special Needs Consultant SEMERC (UK), Sarah Helton, SEN Publisher
Sherston (UK) and Heather Chirtea, President, Tool Factory. Attendees
were introduced to many special needs and inclusive software programs
and assistive technology tools. Participants had the opportunity
to try the software and tools with Dell and Apple computers. Assistive
Technology tools that participants used included Infogrip's
BigTrack
trackball, Keytec's Magic
Touch touchscreen, Traxysis's Joggle
Pressure Adjustable Switch, Sensitrac
Mounting Pads and BigKeys Keyboards.
New programs introduced to the seminar participants include SEMERC
Picture Builder, Sherston
Skills Builders, On
Track for Reading Success series, Out
and About 2 and Assessability
for Older Learners. This was the first chance for educators
to see programs like Out and About 2 and the SEMERC Picture Builder.
