TOOL FACTORY PODCASTING GRANT LAUNCHES FROM TOOL FACTORY AND OLYMPUS

Sunderland, VT – April 26, 2007 – Educators are invited to apply for a podcasting grant from Tool Factory and Olympus. Ten annual winners will receive $3,000 in Tool Factory Podcasting software and Olympus audio recording accessories! It’s easy to apply. Simply tell us how you’ll implement a podcasting project in your classroom. The grants will be judged upon creativity, relevance to curriculum, and the amount of student involvement in the project.  The judges are looking for fun and creative podcasting project ideas.

If you are new to podcasting there’s a quick 5-minute online tour posted at http://www.toolfactory.com/.  You can also download a 30-day demo of Tool Factory Podcasting, build your first podcast, and gain firsthand experience with podcasting.  Then simply tell us how you’ll apply podcasting in your everyday curriculum.

Each winner will receive:

  • A Site license of Tool Factory Podcasting - For installation on unlimited computers within the school.
  • 3 Olympus Digital Voice Recorders – For recording audio files outside of the computer lab.
  • 3 Headsets and Mics – For recording audio at the computer.
  • A Site License of Clip Art Station – A library of images and audio files available online for unlimited download.
  • A Site License of Worksheet Station – An online service of educational worksheets available in all curriculum areas.
  • A Site License of Web Page Station –A website which can host the podcasts created using Tool Factory Podcasting. 
  • Tool Factory’s Simple Guide to Podcasting – A book and CD combination on podcasting and its applications in education.
