‘CLIP ART STATION’ LAUNCHES WITH THOUSANDS OF PHOTOGRAPHS FOR K-12 EDUCATORS

Sunderland, VT April 5, 2006 - Tool Factory, a Vermont publisher and developer of leading-edge educational software, announces the launch of Clip Art Station, available online at http://www.clipartstation.com. The subscription-based library of vibrant, categorized photographs is designed to meet the needs of educators.  There are over 2,000 subject-specific images, and the online collection is growing continuously.

Clip Art Station covers a wide range of alphabetized topics corresponding with common curricula found in today’s K-12 classrooms: fish, animals, bugs, flowers, and modes of transportation are available alongside tools, holidays, fruits and vegetables, and fossils. There is a fantastic array of colonial and historical images supplied by the library of congress. One of the largest libraries of mathematics clip art ever built is slated to be added to the online library in April.  Each subject area provides multiple images, all of which can be viewed, downloaded, and printed in a variety or sizes and resolutions.

Tool Factory president Heather Chirtea is excited about the launch of Clip Art Station and says, “Clip Art Station is an important addition to the products that we offer parents and educators. In keeping with our mission to ‘make a difference in education,’ Clip Art Station fills a critical need for theme based artwork and educational images in the classroom.”

FAST, EASY NAVIGATION, AND SEARCH ACCESS

Visitors will like the clean, easy design found at Clip Art Station. Large red buttons mark alphabetized categories, each of which leads to small, easy-to-load versions of specific images. Some topic areas, such as Holidays, are sub-categorized for easier navigation. Clicking on individual images will provide a larger view along with download options for size and resolution. Each image is provided in high resolution as well as each 300 and 400 pixels wide, a perfect size for worksheet creation and class projects.

The prominent “Search” box, located at the top of all Clip Art Station pages will easily guides parents and teachers to the ideal image for their newest classroom unit. “Search” will locate pictures based on topic area, image name, or keywords chosen by students and educators.
